Artie welcomes you to come and visit one of Minnesota’s hottest perch lakes! We have awesome ice fishing and houses are filling fast so get your reservation in soon by calling the bait shop at (320)839-2480. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking.

Here is how it works… On checkin day you will come to the Artie’s Bait & Tackle and checkin. All rentals have a checkin time. We prefer for you to checkin within a half hour of that time if possible to help us spread out the groups. No need to stock up before you come as our bait shop is loaded with all the best tackle and baits! We also have a good inventory of rods/reels, line, ice augers and electronics! We take trade ins of clean used electronics if you are looking to upgrade! After you are checked in at the bait shop and paid up for your rental we will send you to the lake access on the Big Stone Lake that you are going out of. Typically that is within 3-13 miles of the bait shop. There you will meet up with one of our guide staff. For early season we offer a shuttle which is a ride on a trailer pulled with an atv to get you out and back from the ice. After we have 12-14 or more inches of good ice we will allow groups to drive vehicles out to the houses by following our guides out. Once you are checked in our guide staff will check on you once or twice a day and they are available to call anytime. All sleeper houses share a 2200 watt Honda generator with one other house. Medium size crock pots, coffee pots or any electronic devices can be plugged in to houses. Our guide staff takes care of the generator and keeping it full of you gas so you can relax and fish! Our on ice staff typically consists of 3-5 guides/maintenance staff. Houses are typically moved twice a week to stay on top of the best bite. We provide the house, holes drilled, heat, lights, (sleepers: stove/oven, stereo, large tv, dvd, underwater cameras prerigged to your tv, bathroom which consists of a toilet seat with a bucket and bag underneath, toilet paper, paper towels, lighter and cleaning wipes). You provide pillows, blankets, pots/pans, rods/reels, bait, tackle and food/drink. Be sure you are using light rods with a quick tip or spring bobber. 1-4lb line suggested. Our houses are typically set up on a perch bite (10-13ft of water) with occasional bluegills, crappies and walleyes. Many of our renters bring portables and go hole hopping throughout the day to maximize the bite. Perch do move however our guides will have you in the right areas. If you plan to have your guide clean fish for you, please let them know ahead of time so they can schedule that in their day. When your fishing trip comes to the end, please bag your garbage and place it outside in the garbage can. If you leave on your own, please send a text to your guide when you leave. It is our goal to help you have a fun and enjoyable trip. We can’t always make them bite but we will do our best!

All of our guests that are in a rental house are permitted to use the private resort access. No other guests or permanent houses are permitted unless they are staying at the resort overnight in a cabin. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Fish cleaning service is available. The fee for cleaning and packing fish is $1.00 per fish with a $20 minimum. Ask your guide to clean your fish if you would like this service. We do also have a fish cleaning building free to use for all rental clients located at the bait shop. There is also a fish cleaning facility on shore at the resort for a $10 fee.

Ice Castle 8×16 four bed sleepers with stove/oven, tv/dvd, Honda generator (2000 watt runs 2 houses at a time…no microwaves in houses), bathroom, 6 holes drilled and heat on ready to fish! New for 2021…all sleepers include an underwater camera hooked up to you TV so you can watch the fish under your house! Weekday $250 per day- Fri-Sun $350 per day, 2 day min on weekends…$700 per weekend. Rates do not include gratuity. Typical rent time is noon-noon but can be adjusted ahead or back. Showers are available on shore at the resort for $5 per person.

For sleeper houses we provide: Paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning wipes and garbage bags. You provide bedding, pots/pans and utensils if you plan to cook, fishing equipment and bait (available for sale at our bait shop).

Day House 8×12

Fish up to 4 people (6 with kids). Includes heat, 8 holes drilled and lights. 8 foot bench on each end.

Rate: $200 per day. Rates do not include gratuity.

Day hours are as early as 7am and staying as late as 6pm.

Deposit & Cancelation Policy: A 50% deposit is required for all reservations at the time of reservation by credit card. We will gladly refund deposits with a cancellation made 21 or more days before arrival day. Cancellations with 21 days or less notice notice are responsible for 100% of the rental fees. Our rental houses typically fill up fast and we turn several away, therefor we are not able to accept cancellations with less than 21 days notice unless we can fill your house with another group. Any changes to a reservation or cancelations will be charged a $25 administrative fee. Please be sure your group can come on your dates before reserving a fish house. We do not issue refunds for early departures.

When planning your trip please remember we have all the bait, hottest lures, electronics and the best ice rods/reels for your trip at our bait shop! We will get you stocked up at check-in!
